Congressman Devin Nunes, of
California
Congressman Devin Nunes was first elected to Congress in 2002 from the 21st District in California’s San Joaquin Valley, at age 29. He serves on the Ways and Means Committee and previously was Chairman of the Resources Subcommittee on National Parks.
He is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and a master’s degree in agriculture, before returning to work on the family farm. As an active member of his community, he focused his attention on educational issues and was elected to the Board of Trustees for the College of the Sequoias (COS). During his tenure on the COS Board of Trustees, Nunes led the effort to provide smaller communities greater access to the Internet and satellite educational services.
Congressman Nunes is proud of his cultural heritage and has worked to maintain strong ties between Portugal and the United States throughout his Congressional career.
Devin and his wife Elizabeth have one child, Evelyn Rose Nunes.
