We hope to reschedule this performance in the fall.

The Center for Portuguese Studies and Culture at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth together with the Portuguese Consulate in New Bedford and the New Bedford Whaling Museum, proudly present "O Meu Jantar Com o André" (My Dinner with André).
The theatrical performance will take place at 5:30 pm, in New Bedford Whaling Museum on Friday, May 22, 2015.

Please join us for a theatrical performance by Wallace Shawn and André Gregory. “O Meu Jantar com o André” is a passionate, volatile and humorous encounter between two friends who haven’t seen each other for a long period of time and decide to catch up to speed during dinner. His friend, Wally Shawn, is an American actor and playwright who is more concerned with getting their next meal.

As Andrew tells him of their global forays involving esoteric experiments, theatrical and mystical adventures, Wally listens with more skepticism, as they alternate between reactions of awe, amazement, admiration and anger. What finally emerges is a sensitive portrait of a friendship that survives and transcends contrasting assumptions about love, death, art, and continuous demand of man by self-realization.
